Report: 1 in 6 large health care groups plan PACS replacements

A wave of replacements for picture archiving and communication systems, or PACS, led by larger hospitals is under way, according to a KLAS report, which indicated that almost 1 in 6 health facilities with more than 1,000 beds intend to replace their PACS. The report also noted that interoperability with existing EMR systems is a key consideration for potential PACS buyers.
