Compact snowblower to ease snow removal work in Alaska city

Fairbanks, Alaska, purchased a Kodiak CR 3200S snowblower to make it easier to clear neighborhood streets. The machine has a single, 450-horsepower Caterpillar engine to power it, which makes it more fuel-efficient and smaller than the city's fleet of load-mounted snowblowers. The new machine carries a price tag of about $330,000.
