IBM encourages middle-school girls to study STEM

Women professionals from IBM recently spent an afternoon with students at Mildred E. Strang Middle School in New York, meeting with girls to talk about career opportunities in the fields of science, technology, engineering and math. "This workshop is a great opportunity for girls to work closely with the women from IBM and to learn more about what is available to them in the field of technology," science teacher Megan Kalogris said. "It is such a positive experience for everyone involved and is also a lot of fun."
