Mobile heart monitor from AliveCor gets FDA OK

The FDA has given AliveCor 510(k) clearance to market a mobile heart monitor that uses electrodes attached to the back of iPhone devices to capture electrocardiogram readings. The device, which is available for pre-selling to clinicians, is designed to allow patient screening for atrial fibrillation and other forms of heart arrhythmia.
