Researchers make advance in transforming cell's nuclear membrane

Researchers in London have developed a means of identifying how a cell's nuclear membrane transforms during division. Banafshe Larijani and her team at Cancer Research UK's London Research Institute used the drug rapalogue to promote a chemical cascade that transformed the diacylglycerol lipid. The research could lead to treatments for cancer and other diseases marked by irregular cell division.
