Robotics event gives students real-world STEM experience

The Robotics, Engineering and Technology Days event in Detroit aims to boost students' interest in science, technology, engineering and math. During the three-day event, more than 1,500 area middle- and high-school students participated in hands-on activities in programming and robotics, and learned about the latest technology used by today's soldiers. In its sixth year, the event was jointly run by the Army's Tank Automotive Research, Development and Engineering Center and Macomb Community College.
