Study suggests shorter therapy may be better for UTIs in men

Prescribing antimicrobial therapy for longer than a week for men with urinary tract infections may not reduce recurrence rates but could raise the risk of Clostridium difficile infection, researchers from the Minneapolis Veterans Affairs Health Care System reported in the Archives of Internal Medicine.
