Toro said mild weather dampened fiscal fourth-quarter earnings

Toro announced it earned $251,000 in its fiscal fourth quarter that ended Oct. 31, down from $5 million a year earlier. The company said the mild weather last year reduced the preseason demand for its snow throwers but strengthened sales of golf course and professional landscaping equipment. Toro saw its fiscal earnings for 2012 rise 4% to $129.5 million, up from $118 million in fiscal 2011.
