U.S. exports of big items growing but won't bring surplus

The U.S. exports more aircraft, excavators, industrial engines and railway and mining equipment than it imports by a significant margin, but it will not be enough to make up for this year's $509.7 billion deficit in manufactured goods, according to MAPI senior economist Cliff Waldman. However, the global markets for large equipment such as mining trucks are expected to grow this year.
