U.S. REITs dipped in November

Returns for U.S. REITs dropped in November, according to the FTSE NAREIT U.S. Real Estate Index series. It showed that total returns of equity REITs were down 0.27% for the month, while all REITs were down 0.29%. The fiscal uncertainty may be driving that trend, says Alexander Goldfarb, managing director and senior REIT analyst with Sandler O'Neil and Partners. NAREIT's Brad Case says REITs are still outperforming the larger market.
