Bill to discourage patent troll lawsuits clears House

The House voted 323-89 in favor of legislation to raise the bar for patent lawsuits. The measure is intended to discourage legal fights initiated by nonpracticing entities that acquire patents. PhRMA said the bill "may impose substantial burdens on the ability to enforce legitimate patents effectively and efficiently."
