Middle-schoolers spend a day as medical students

The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio recently hosted students from two school districts to give them a glimpse of what life is like during medical school and to learn about careers in health care. Students studied dehydrated organs and handled artificial limbs used to teach medical students. "I want you to leave here knowing how to get back," recruitment coordinator Dr. Irene Chapa told the students.
