Ohio lawmakers consider student assessments of teachers

Lawmakers in Ohio are considering legislation that would add students' feedback to the list of measures under which teachers are evaluated. Lawmakers are considering other changes as well, including one that would require student achievement to count for 35% of teachers' evaluations -- rather than 50% -- and another that would allow higher-performing teachers to skip full evaluations in favor of student surveys or other options.
