Va. district's teachers, community favor technology spending

At a meeting about its upcoming budget, a Virginia district's school board learned this week that parents, community members and teachers want the district to prioritize spending to increase technology use for elementary- and middle-school students. The district's high-school students already have access to iPads. The meeting was part of the district's efforts to increase community involvement in the budgeting process.
