GM's Mr. Goodwrench returns with updated image

When General Motors first used its character Mr. Goodwrench in TV commercials in the 1970s, he was a "buttoned-up white man," reports USA TODAY. After several years' absence, GM has brought him back, but now he could be black, white or Asian -- or even a woman. The new ads also are being done with more of a comedic twist.
