Study: Heart, bone safeguards should start before menopause

While many people associate heart disease and osteoporosis with problems women experience after menopause, new research suggests care should be taken to protect against the conditions before menopause or even earlier. Women can experience varying levels of estrogen well before menopause, which can impact bone and heart health, experts say.
