Expert: Insulin-producing beta cells likely within four years

A stem cell expert told an international diabetes conference researchers are making "huge progress" in science involving stem cells for cures, particularly for diabetes. The expert said scientists have made astonishing progress in the past two to three years, and the work so far suggests they will have beta cells to produce insulin for diabetics by the end of the decade.
