Journal: NSAIDs linked to higher heart-failure risk

A cardiologist writing in an Australian journal says Nurofen and other over-the-counter anti-inflammatory painkillers are tied to an increase in heart failure risks. The physician said in a review in the Australian Journal of Pharmacy that even people who had no known heart problems suffer an increased risk if they take NSAIDs.
