Measure on drug reimportation might go to Senate vote

A measure that would allow the reimportation of prescription drugs from Canada might be up for a Senate vote today as part of the health care reform legislation, said Sen. Byron Dorgan, D-N.D., one of the lead sponsors of the proposal. The measure, which is strongly opposed by the drug industry, would save the government $19 billion during the next decade, according to the Congressional Budget Office.
