Google leads in mobile ad revenue, with boost from Web

A new report out from IDC indicates that Google is leading the mobile advertising market, with a 59% share of revenues. Google is forecasting a total of $1 billion in mobile ad revenues for 2010. However, Google's take when it comes to mobile applications is considerably less -- estimated at $150 million. Most of Google's mobile revenue is derived from advertising via the mobile Web.
