Lafarge thinks about expanding operations in Zimbabwe

Lafarge Cement Zimbabwe has started a feasibility study to determine whether it should build a cement-manufacturing plant in that country to increase its capacity to more than 1.1 million tons in five years. "It's not a commitment yet; we're in the middle of our studies," Lafarge CEO and Chairman Bruno Lafont said. "We've invested $15 million on the plant over the last five years. The future will require more investments from the group."
