NCA: Bill would ban candy sales on school property

The Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act of 2010, awaiting the signature of President Barack Obama, would "prohibit the sale of candy in school by requiring the establishment of nutritional criteria for any food sold in school," says the National Confectioners Association. One possible exception may be food sold at fundraisers, and NCA said it will work with companies seeking that exemption.
