ONC allots $16M for national HIE program

The Office of the National Coordinator for Health IT has announced at least $16 million in funds to support the development of tools and strategies that will help advance health information exchange nationwide. The Health Information Exchange Challenge Program targets five key areas, including using HIE to meet health goals and providing patient access to health data.
