Pakistan's cement industry hopes to benefit from 2018, 2022 World Cups

The cement industry in Pakistan hopes the infrastructure buildup related to the 2018 and 2022 FIFA Wold Cups in Russia and Qatar will lead to growth, says Atif Zafar, an analyst at JS Research. Pakistan's cement industry grew when South Africa was preparing to host the 2010 event. However, Omar Rafiq, an analyst at BMA Capital, says it would be easier for Russia and Qatar to get cement from Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.
