Train seeks to cultivate fan base through wine club

Rock band Train's online wine club, which offers picks for favorite bottles, as well as links and information to the group's official site and Facebook and Twitter pages, is an example of the nontraditional tools musicians are tapping to reach their fans. In Train's case, the wine club reflects the interests of its guitarist, Jimmy Stafford, who runs the site, and matches up with its mid-20s to mid-40s fan base.
