U.S. and South Korea sign a sweeping free-trade agreement

The U.S. and South Korea have finalized a free-trade agreement that is the largest forged by the U.S. since the North American Free Trade Agreement. The deal, which has been mired in Congress since 2007, will open the South Korean auto market to U.S. producers if approved by lawmakers in both countries. President Barack Obama said the agreement would support at least 70,000 U.S. jobs.
