Airlines request year's delay for new DOT rules

Several airlines have requested that the Department of Transportation give them one year to install the technology required to implement two of the agency's new rules regarding fees. One rule involves detailed disclosure on fees per itinerary, including the factors that may affect policies regarding baggage. The second rule requires airlines to implement consistent fees and allowances policies on multisegment flights.
