New Opteron processors are aimed at virtualization, cloud computing

Advanced Micro Devices has officially introduced the Opteron 6200 "Interlagos" and Opteron 4200 "Valencia" processors, targeted at applications in virtual servers and cloud computing. The Opteron 6200 can have up to 16 cores, while the Opteron 4200 can contain eight cores, according to AMD.
