Suggestions for teachers using Facebook for classroom instruction

Teacher Reynol Junco, author of a study linking certain Facebook use to higher GPAs among students, and other educators offer suggestions for effective practices when using the site as part of classroom lessons. Among the tips: Educators should first explain to students how Facebook will be used to support the lesson, and should consider using the site's "Groups" or "Pages" features rather than becoming "friends" with students, Junco writes.
