Darden won't cut hours for current full-time staff

Olive Garden and Red Lobster parent Darden Restaurants is set to announce today that it won't drop current full-time workers down to part-time to limit health-care costs, after tests of the strategy prompted bad publicity and took a bite out of sales. About 75% of the company's current workforce of 185,000 is part-time, and the company hasn't ruled out future changes.
