Debt ceiling becomes embroiled in "fiscal cliff" debate

The president's authority to raise the debt ceiling has become part of the "fiscal cliff" debate in Congress, but little real progress is being made on resolving the budget standoff. According to a Quinnipiac University poll, respondents trust President Barack Obama and Democrats more on the budget talks than they do Republicans.
