LAX steps up to the plate with local eateries

The food scene at Los Angeles International Airport is changing to meet the chic selections throughout the city. The airport has added Larder at Tavern, Cole's, Campanile and Ford's Filling Station, and it will also have a selection of food trucks including Kogi. Workers displaced from other restaurants in the city are taking training sessions to work at the airport eateries as part of a $250,000 grant from the city through the Unite Here Local 11 union.
