Merger to give NPs stronger voice on practice issues

The merger of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and the American College of Nurse Practitioners will provide a united voice when advocating for the role of NPs. The organization will operate from a position of greater strength, unity and visibility as they continue to shape and direct policy and legislative priorities. "I think it's a great opportunity to combine resources as well as strategy so that nurse practitioners can have a strong voice, whether it's in Washington or the state capitals," said ACNP CEO David Hebert, who will lead the new American Association of Nurse Practitioners.
