Senate panel criticizes Air Force logistics cancellation

The Senate Armed Services Committee is strongly criticizing a move by the Air Force to cancel a $1 billion project to revamp its logistics program. The Air Force wound up with less than $150 million in equipment and software from the program. "From what we know to date, this case appears to be one of the most egregious examples of mismanagement in recent memory," Sens. Carl Levin, D-Mich., and John McCain, R-Ariz., said in a letter to the Pentagon this week.
