Spain's retailers boost seasonal hiring

Retailers in Spain will beef up their holiday hiring this year, adding 5% more seasonal staff than they did in 2012 as the economy shows signs of improving, according to the national retail association ANGED. Consumer confidence is starting to rise, the jobs market is beginning to stabilize, and public-sector workers will have more money to spend as the government reinstates a traditional double paycheck at Christmas.
