U.S. retailers post minimal sales growth for November

November retail sales fell short of the 3% many in the industry expected, despite energetic efforts to boost Black Friday sales and extended Thanksgiving store hours. Sales rose 1.9% compared with November 2012, according to Retail Metrics. Many retailers are predicting disappointing results for this quarter.
