Calif. Education Board of Rejects San Fernando's Secession Bid

In a unanimous vote, the California Board of Education on Dec. 6 rejected San Fernando Valley schools' bid to secede from the Los Angeles Unified School District. While the school board admitted that LAUSD has problems, it said that removing 200,000 Valley students would be detrimental.
