Ex-coach loses first case under Maine's anti-bias law

In the first lawsuit in Maine under its 2006 anti-discrimination law, a judge has ruled that a lesbian high school girls softball coach was fired not because of her sexual orientation but because she allegedly condoned and/or engaged in "hazing" of players. The former coach, Kelly Jo Cookson, plans to appeal the decision, according to this article.
