Boeing sees uptick in aircraft-finance deals by Chinese banks

State-owned banks in China are picking up the slack for cash-strapped U.S. banks that have been reluctant to finance aircraft deals. The shift means China is poised to be a leader in global air finance, said Foster Arata of Boeing Capital. The Boeing unit expects to loan $1 billion to customers in 2010, as it did in 2009.
