If you are hesitant to add more workers because of doubts about the economic recovery, you're not alone: The Labor Department says temporary hiring surged in November, and some experts predict "contingent workers" could eventually make up 25% of the workforce. "In this economy it's nice to have that flexibility," says one entrepreneur, who used contractors to fill six of his nine positions.
