FAA to award $7B for NextGen development contracts

The FAA on Friday said it was soliciting bids for up to five separate support contracts "that will help the agency deliver NextGen." The contracts, for R&D and systems engineering, represent the biggest award in the FAA's history, with a total value estimated at $7 billion. "The agency is looking for the best and the brightest, regardless of size," according to the announcement.
