Las Vegas private school planned for students with learning disabilities

A new Las Vegas school -- set to open in 2010 -- will focus on K-8 students with average intelligence or better who struggle with school because of learning disabilities. Affiliated with similar schools in Arizona and Florida, the Lexis Preparatory School Las Vegas will feature small classes and teachers who are trained in educating students who have learning disabilities. Tuition will fund services that students would otherwise receive outside of school, such as occupational therapy and academic tutoring.
