Poking holes in reasons for air-filled packaging

Consumer Reports examined packaging that contains a substantial amount of air, giving the impression the packages contain more of the product than they actually do. Frito-Lay says bags for Lay's Classic potato chips are only partly filled to prevent breakage, but other explanations seem less plausible, says the report.
