Residency seeks to help career-changers become teachers

A one-year residency program is helping career-changers in Denver become teachers in high-needs schools. A $3 million grant from Janus Capital Group is providing funding for the Denver Teacher Residency program, where would-be teachers take classes at the University of Denver one day per week, spending the other four days with master teachers in urban classrooms.
