CEO: EBay "well-positioned" for growth in mobile payments

Mobile payment systems, such as the one that allows consumers to pay for physical goods with their smartphones, will become increasingly important in the offline world, according to John Donahoe, the CEO of eBay, which offers such services using PayPal technology. "You're going to see an aggressive move towards mobile payments in the offline world through the next few years," he said. "PayPal is the platform in which those rest and we feel very well-positioned."
