AT&T to speed LTE advance, sets eyes on New York

AT&T said it would accelerate the construction of wireless Long-Term Evolution technology beyond its originally targeted markets, including a move into New York City, although the carrier did not revise its original target figure of reaching 70 million POPs in 2011. Chief Financial Officer John Stephens said at an investor conference that the company was responding to robust demand for mobile broadband.
