CFPB outlines effort to simplify credit card agreements

The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau has announced an initiative aimed at simplifying credit card terms for consumers. "The bottom line is that many credit card agreements are confusing, and most consumers don't understand them," said Raj Date, the de facto head of the CFPB. The agency also published a database of credit card agreements to give consumers an opportunity to compare different deals.
