A tool called Fakefollowers lets brands identify how many of their Twitter followers are authentic and active human users. The tool, which sorts users based on their follower-to-following ratio and other criteria, lets businesses get a clearer picture of their followers, and could make it easier to spot rivals that pad their following with fake users, John Mello Jr. writes.
