Infirmities of aging don't necessarily lower sense of well-being

Although it's true that seniors tend to suffer more physical and mental limitations than younger people, this doesn't impair their sense of overall well-being, according to new research. "It was clear to us that, even in the midst of physical or cognitive decline, individuals in our study reported feeling that their well-being had improved with age," said principal investigator Dr. Dilip V. Jeste, director of the University of California, San Diego's Stein Institute for Research on Aging.
