High school academy options excite, pressure eighth-graders

High schools in some Washington D.C. suburbs offer within-school specialized academies in such areas as entrepreneurship, history and music. Administrators hope allowing eighth-grade students to choose among such schools will engage them more in their learning and encourage them to start thinking about their futures.
